GRAFTON, Mass. - At the Grafton Senior Center Tuesday, the role of Cupid was played by state Rep. George Peterson Jr.

The Grafton Republican, acting on behalf of the Grafton Republican Town Committee, eschewed the traditional bow and arrows for a suit and tie, of course, but he brought a basket holding three dozen roses, which he distributed to senior citizens as they sat down for their Valentine's Day lunch.

"Not everyone is remembered on Valentine's Day, so I thought we'd try this out this year," Peterson said as he distributed the few remaining flowers to the clerks in Town Clerk Maureen Clark's office.
