GRAFTON, Mass. - The Grafton Land Trust is highlighting the activities of local wildlife in two winter programs -- the first, bringing residents outside, the second, bringing animals indoors.

On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Grafton Land Trust will once again host tracker and educator Paul Wanta, who will take a group on a hike around Silver Lake in Grafton's Fletcher Preserve.

During the one and a half hour hike, Wanta will teach the group to look for signs of wildlife and how to identify the animals who may have passed by before.

The group will meet at 9 a.m. in the Silver Lake Beach parking lot. Dress appropriately for the weather. There is no age limit, and this event is free to the public.

On March 3, Animal Adventures will come to Grafton Elementary School in an even supported in part by a grant from the Grafton Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Animal Adventures' Ed Laquidara will bring examples of several of the animals that may be found locally, as well as a few who may not. This free event was standing room only last year.

Both events require pre-registration by emailing info@graftonland.org.
