GRAFTON, Mass. - Doris Jean (Haley) Clark, 85, of South Dennis died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012. Her husband of over 50 years, Theodore H. Clark, died in 2003.

She leaves two daughters, Kathleen Walters of Mountain City TN, and Kerry Clark of S. Dennis; one son David E. Clark in RI; one sister Beverly Behan of Inverness FL; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a son, Andrew H., and a brother, Robert Haley.

Mrs. Clark was born August 16, 1926 in Hartford, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Clark) Haley. She graduated from Upton High School where she was active playing basketball, cheerleading and other school activities.

Doris worked during World War II manufacturing radio communications equipment for the military. She also worked as a waitress at the former Howard Johnson’s Restaurant in Grafton and with her husband operating The Rumson (NJ) Limousine Service for over 20 years until retiring with her husband to Cape Cod. While living in New Jersey she was a member, past president, woman of the year twice and a dedicated volunteer with The Rumson (NJ) Women’s Club.

Doris was also a member and past president of the Delisle-Goulet Post 92 American Legion Auxiliary in Grafton.

She was a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother, aunt and a loyal friend to many people. Her personal enjoyments included playing cards, bowling, reading, dancing and traveling with her husband.

The family invites all to visit, share memories and celebrate Doris on Sunday, Feb. 19 at The Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester Street, North Grafton MA 01536 from 2 to 4 p.m. which will be concluded with a Prayer Service at 4 p.m.
