GRAFTON, Mass. - At North Grafton Elementary School, students have been learning the history of civil rights in the United States.
To honor Martin Luther King Junior’s birthday, kindergartners at NGES read about Martin Luther King, Jr.
The students then wrote down their own dreams and illustrated them, covering an entire wall in the hallway!

It's great to see the schools honoring Dr. MLK! However, we must not forget his dream was to make the world a better place. He shook the world with his dream for equality. Race- equality.
It's not cute to see teachers asking children, "what is your dream?" and not follow up with evoking a deeper response. A dream to be a good dancer, skydiver, rockstar, chemist, is NOT what the Reverend King stood for.
Teachers need to ask, "how will your dream change the way we peacefully, respectfully promote equality in the world."
Teach the children to dig deeper inside.
