WORCESTER, Mass. - The Grafton/BVT hockey team is headed to the playoffs after a convincing 7-2 victory over Assabet Monday night.

The Indians (9-7-2) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first period, and piled it on with three more in the second, cruising to their third straight win, with two games remaining on the schedule, both at home.

"We had a good night," said coach Mike Mazzola. "We were playing very well. The kids wanted to get the win, and this put us in the playoffs."

Seven different players scored goals for the Indians. Mike Palmer led the way with a goal and three assists. Mike moran had a goal and two assists.

The Indians are off until Saturday when they host Northbridge at Buffone Arena in Worcester at 6 p.m.
